BENEFITS AND EMPLOYMENT WORKSHOP 2018 (November 7, 2017)

The workshop will help beneficiaries make inform choice of earning competitive income and still qualify for medical benefits and benefit payments, rather than pursue the perception that people must limit their income to protect their benefits. 


RESIDENTIAL SERVICES ORIENTATION (November 27, 28, 29 & 30, 2017)

This orientation course is required of all new Administrators.  It is designed for individuals with residential work experience who are interested in becoming an administrator of a residential facility in the San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center's (SG/PRC) service area. NEW PROCESS FOR REGISTRATION & PAYMENTS FOR TRAININGS

For 2017, SG/PRC is introducing a change in the way you register and/or pay for service provider training opportunities through a brand new process using the “Provider Training Portal”.

All registration and payments for Technical Assistance Trainings, Residential Services Orientation and other future training opportunities will done completely on-line through this new portal*.  

We encourage you to check out the new Provider Training Portal to set up your login and password in advance of the training date as registration and payment will no longer be accepted at the door on the day of the training.  For questions about this new process, please email us at commsrvs@sgprc.org

PLEASE NOTE:   All payments must now be done via credit card only.  (Cash, Checks and payment at the door will no longer be accepted)

*For your initial visit to the Provider Training Portal, you will need to create a login and password.  Once you create a login, you can search for the training you need.

Building Strong Employer Relationships: Managing the Employer Engagement Process (June 13, 2017)

Designed for: Employment Staff, School to Work Transition Staff, Direct Service Managers, Rehabilitation Counselors, Case Managers.

Overview: This workshop will provide methodology, strategies and tools for provider organizations to manage the employer engagement process to achieve stronger employer relationships.  This workshop is intended to foster coordination and commitment amongst employment staff who work with local

Employment Development Workshop Presented by Rick S. McAllister (May 19th, 2017)

Designed for: Employment Staff, School to Work Transition Staff, Direct Service Managers, Rehabilitation Counselors, Case Managers. 

Overview: This presentation focuses on global and foundational approach to employment development that places emphasis on relationship building and customized employment. The customer’s needs (the job seeker and the employer) are the focus of this approach. This session will also provide strategies that are effective for school to work professionals. The presentation will demonstrate tactics and approaches for involving all levels of our agency in effective employment development. Cal TASH Conference on Inclusion (MARCH 3 & 4, 2017)

Cal TASH conference on March 3 and 4, 2017 in San Diego. The title of the conference is Inclusion Through the Lifespan: This is What Inclusion Looks Like. The conference will focus on topics related to embracing the intent of Home and Community-Based Services and helping to support individuals in living enviable lives from birth through end of life.
