Local Interagency Coordination Area (LICA)

A collaboration between Early Start vendors, community partners and SGPRC staff members working together for educational and networking opportunities focusing on those topics surrounding child development and the delivery of services to children from birth to three (3) years old. 

LICA Participants include:

  • Early Start Service Providers (Vendors) 
  • SG/PRC staff members (Early Start service coordinators, Manager of Client Services, other key staff members)
  • Community partners (SGPRC Parents Place Resource and Empowerment Center, Early Head Start programs, local school district representatives, and other invited partners)

Meetings are held every 2nd Thursday of the month from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. 

(Please note:  Networking events are held every June and December and vendor provider meetings are held in January, April, July and November during the regularly scheduled meetings.)

SPECIAL PRESENTATION FOR MARCH

POS EXPENDITURE DATA (ENGLISH) 

As of June 27, 2012, the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act (“The Lanterman Act”) was amended, as required by section 4519.5 of the Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC).  This amendment required the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and Regional Centers to annually collaborate to compile data relating to purchase of service (POS) authorization, utilization, and expenditure by each regional center with respect to consumer age, race or ethnicity, primary language, and disability. We will be conducting a series of our annual (POS) expenditure data presentations.  Please see the calendar for presentations dates, times and languages that we will be providing this presentation.  We hope to see you at one of our presentations.
