Complete course at your own pace. This training course is required as the 1st step for anyone interested in enrolling in the SDP Program

The California Self-Determination Program (SDP).
Obtain an overview of SDP
The Roles and Responsibilities with SDP
What is “Person Centered Planning”?
What is a person’s “Individual Budget” & how is it calculated?
What is a “Spending Plan” and what does it include?
What is a Financial Management Service (FMS) and why is it needed?
How to get started?

SCDD STATEWIDE SDP PROGRAM TRAININGS

Department of Developmental Services (DDS) has partnered with State Council to provide a statewide orientation and training to all participants and families who are interested in participating in the Self-Determination Program (SDP). The Statewide Self-Determination Program Orientation is one (1) Module that is two (2) hours in length:

Module 1: Self-Determination Program Orientation
Registration: (English) (Spanish) (Spanish – Saturdays)

Define the Self-Determination Program
Introduce the Principles of Self-Determination
Discuss the steps to join the Self-Determination Program
Introduce key roles and parts of the Self-Determination Program
Talk about next steps

SDP TRAINING & COACHING SERIES

The San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center in collaboration with Healed Women Heal is offering a 4-week training and coaching series for individuals and their families interested in enrolling or who are already participating in the Self-Determination Program (SDP).
