MONKEYPOX SECTION
Monkeypox (MPX) is a viral illness that has been circulating in California and the U.S. since Spring 2022. Though current risk to the general public is low, anyone can get MPX. It’s good to be aware of signs and symptoms to keep you and others safe. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION
EXTREME HEAT ALERT - Effective August 31st through Sept 5th.
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Southern California due to record high temperatures, effective August 31st through Sept 5th. Please refer to the attached Bulletin. If anyone needs to seek refuge from the heat, the City of LA offers cooling centers. Centers are open and available during regular hours of operation. Hours have been expanded at certain sites due to the excessive heat.
