    The proposed plan will be presented at two meetings: Client Services Committee of the SG/PRC’s Board of Directors and the Board of Directors’, both meeting on September 28th, 2016. The public is welcomed to provide comments during the public input portion of these meetings.

  • Rate Increases Methodology and Required Tracking

    The State budget for Fiscal Year 2016-17, and Assembly Bill (AB) X2-1 provides for a number of rate changes and/or increases for some service providers. The rate increases are only applicable for providers with rates set by DDS (including rates set in statute or regulation), or providers with rates set through negotiation between regional centers and the provider. The rate increases do not apply for providers with usual and customary rates or rates that are set by other entities.

  • CMS/HCBS) - Final Rule

    Background: In January 2014, the deferral Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published final rules defining what constitutes a home and community-based setting for Medicaid reimbursement purposes under Section 1915 (c) Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waivers, Section 1915(i) HCBS State Plan programs, and Section 1915(K) Community First Choice State Plan Options. The effective date of the regulations is March 17, 2014. CMS spent several years developing the final regulations through its rule making process, compiling and analyzing numerous comments from consumers, advocates, provider, state and local government agencies and the public. The final regulations provide guidance about the qualities that make a setting home and community-based, rather than focusing on what settings are institutional in nature

  • Local Minimum Wage Ordinance

    Effective July 1, 2016, the County of Los Angeles enacted a minimum wage ordinance which increases the minimum wage in the unincorporated areas of L.A. County to $10.50 per hour (for employers with 25 or more employees). The City of Pasadena has adopted a similar ordinance which also became effective 7/1/16. Service providers who have staff providing services in these areas, and who are paid minimum wage are expected to comply with this ordinance. Click here for full news alert.
